  • ½ cup small tapioca pearls
  • 16 oz hot water
  • 1 teaspoon black tea leaves
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon rose water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar


  • Soak tapioca pearls in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain. Boil 4 cups of water in a medium pot. Remove from heat and add tapioca pearls, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Drain and rinse in cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • Bloom tea leaves in the hot water in a large cup. Let sit for 10 minutes. Add milk, rose water syrup, and sugar, adding more sugar for a sweeter drink. Add ice for chilled rose milk tea or serve warm. Divide tapioca pearls into two cups and pour in rose milk tea. Serve.
